special note

If your operating system recognizes the individual keyboards separately, and they show up correctly in jOrgan, the keyboards can be connected to the computer directly via USB. This can be done using a simple USB-hub, too. This setup still might not provide stable USB channel settings (keyboard order is changing apparently randomly).

Addendum

For standard, every keyboard needs its separate power supply when DIN-MIDI outs are used. This doesn't match the environmental conditions. The following workaround suggestions might not work on every computer, so they have to be tested for individual function:

  • bundle power connections to reduce the number of separate keyboard power supplies
  • replace the external power supplies by a powered USB-hub, therefore reducing the number of devices and cables
